TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Athletes Universe Trading and Fitness
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Location: Athletes Universe, Qatar Sports Club

By registering for a membership, accessing our facilities, or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions issued by Athletes Universe Trading and Fitness, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.

1. Eligibility for Membership

• Individuals must be at least 16 years of age to register for a membership. Minors under 18 require written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

• Membership is personal, non-transferable, and subject to approval by Athletes Universe management.

2. Health Declaration and Safety

• All members must complete a mandatory health declaration form before accessing the gym.

• Members must ensure they are medically fit. Athletes Universe is not responsible for any pre-existing health conditions.

• In line with Qatar Civil Defense regulations, emergency exits must remain clear, and evacuation protocols must be followed in all emergency situations.

3. Code of Conduct

• All members and guests must behave respectfully, adhere to staff instructions, and maintain hygiene standards.

• Verbal or physical abuse, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership, subject to applicable laws.

• Proper attire and use of equipment are required to ensure safety and hygiene.

4. Facility Usage

• Facility access is limited to operating hours and permitted areas.

• Equipment must be used properly and returned after use. Misuse may result in liability for damages.

• Athletes Universe reserves the right to deny access to any individual in breach of these conditions.

5. Membership Fees & Payment

• All fees must be paid in advance and are governed by Qatari Consumer Protection Law.

• Any proposed changes in fees will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

• Non-payment may result in temporary suspension of access and service.

6. Cancellations & Freezes

• Cancellation requires 30 days' written notice and may be subject to a cancellation fee as per the membership plan.

• Membership may be frozen upon management approval for valid reasons (e.g., travel, medical).

• Refunds, if any, will be processed in line with Law No. 8 of 2008 on Consumer Protection and require documented justification.

7. Personal Training & Classes

• Sessions must be booked in advance and are subject to trainer availability.

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Missed sessions without notice will be deducted.

• Management reserves the right to assign or reassign trainers.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Members participate at their own risk. By joining, you waive all claims against Athletes Universe Trading and Fitness for personal injury, loss, or damage, except where liability arises from gross negligence or willful misconduct, as defined under Qatari Civil Law.

• Members agree to indemnify the gym for any injury or damage caused by their misuse of the facility or equipment.

9. Surveillance, Photography & Media

• CCTV monitoring is in place for security and safety as permitted by Qatari law.

• Promotional photos or videos may be taken. Members who do not wish to be featured must inform management in writing.

• Members may not take photos or videos of others without consent.

10. Suspension and Termination

• Athletes Universe may suspend or terminate memberships for violations of these terms, failure to comply with staff instructions, or misconduct.

• Terminations are subject to review and, where applicable, the Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry's Consumer Protection Department regulations.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar.

• Any disputes arising shall be settled in the courts of Qatar.
